PARTS OF THE KARAMBIT
There are several identifiable parts of any
Karambit. Much like there are many different
cars, there are many different Karambits. Every
car must have a set of tires, an engine of some
kind and some type of body in order for it to be
a car. The same thing applies to a Karambit.
There are unlimited styles and shapes of
Karambits, however there are certain basic
parts.
The Karambit (both
modern and its ancient cousin) consists of ten
(10) identifiable parts each uniquely
contributing to the essential overall operative
quality of the utility knife.
These ten parts of the traditional Karambit
include: 1. Point. 2. Inside edge, 3. Outside
edge (although due to various state laws, most
modern Karambits do not have a sharpened outside
edge), 4. Shaft, 5. Back blade (again, due to
various state laws, most modern Karambits do not
have a sharpened back blade), 6. Handle, 7.
Spine, 8. Front Brake, 9. Rear Brake, and lastly
the 10. Safety Ring.

Most modern fixed-blade Karambits
come with a sheath.
The best one
of these is a sheath that can be
worn in multiple carry positions on
the body such as the
